About Us
Knowledge that generates and preserves wealth.
Our History
Our story began with the desire to publish a book: the Brazil Tax Guide for Foreigners, whose value proposition was to offer a reference work, especially for foreigners who wish to understand how the complex Brazilian tax system works before investing or doing business. It was no less relevant for Brazilians who advise foreigners on business and projects in Brazil.
Absolutely assertive, its first publication – which temporarily named the publisher – reached readers in 47 countries, showing that the deficit in the publishing market for the tax area needed to be explored.
The year 2011, then, saw the birth of a publisher specialized in editing, publishing and marketing relevant titles for a demanding, selective and highly educated audience.
In its second publication, David Roberto R. Soares da Silva, the creator of this editorial line, followed and took care of the entire editorial process from writing to distributing copies, whose inspiration, in 2018, was so striking that it served to definitively name B18.
Like Victor Hugo, B18 believes that “books are impartial and reliable friends”, so we base our editorial profile on this truth to offer works that add value to the lives and professional activities of our readers.
We also prioritize our authors, since we provide support throughout the arduous process of publishing a book, optimizing its exposure and financial return.
Over the last decade, we have maintained our commitment to excellent editorial curation, in order to guarantee titles and publications with a high standard of technical quality, counting on the assistance of a Marketing team so that authors can count on support for broad dissemination and campaigns for their works on social and traditional media.
